Rehearsals began in September for this ambitious Middle School musical production.  The kids have been working very hard, and this year’s show promises to be a lot of fun for performers and audiences alike.  The performance will last approximately one hour.

The best — and worst! — of both worlds meet when fantasy meets the harsh reality of school.  When Cinderella’s stepsisters find a portal to another world, they get zapped into a very real high school and decide to never return.  After all, in this world, mean girls are popular!  An ambitious Woodsman who dreams of being a storybook hero instead of an “incidental character” pursues the stepsisters to bring them back and recruits the help of Danica, a hard-core realist who never believed in fairy tales – until she follows the Woodsman back to Fairy Tale Land.  Audiences of all ages will love this delightful show that combines comedy, music and wonderful lessons about the pursuit of dreams and controlling your own destiny.

Many of the talented cast of 6th – 8th graders play duel roles in the production, featured as both Fairy Tale characters and typical students in Reality High.  The cast includes Ashley Sherlund, Derek Burger, Maddie Kohlmann, Annie Eberts, Shannon Sayles, Ally Mrozek, Mikayla Scott, Heather McIntire, Silas Dunn,  Evan Rye, Chase Massey, Kamen Labinski, Avry Freel, Jen Sherlund, Elissa Griffin, Emma Bohn, Kylie Hill, Destiny Reppenhagen, Maddie Kologe, and Mindy Nordquist.  Director Lisa Dunn will also play a small role.  The scene changes, lights and sound will be handled by Heather Bohn, Alicia Kasper, Gina Augugliaro, Jonah Miller, Jacob Goodell and Travis Schebel.
