Dear LCCS Families,
I am excited to share that inspectors have given us the green light to begin the 2026–27 school year on Monday, September 14th!
After a long and, at times, challenging renovation process, we are finally nearing the finish line. I want to sincerely thank our students, families, staff, and community for your steadfast patience, understanding, and support throughout this journey.
Important First-Week Operational Updates:
Kitchen & Meals: The kitchen and concession stand will remain unavailable for a few extra days. Students will still eat in the cafeteria, but sack lunches will be served during Week 1.
Parking & Traffic: On-site storage units are temporarily occupying a few parking spaces. Drop-off and pick-up locations remain unchanged, but please allow extra time during the first few days.
We are very excited to welcome our students back through the doors on Monday. The improvements made to our facilities will benefit our students and community for many years to come. Thank you again for your continued partnership with Les Cheneaux Community Schools.

Good evening...we want to make sure everyone knows that tomorrow night's (Sept. 10) JV/V Volleyball game against Pickford will be played in DETOUR. The posted schedule was not changed to reflect that and has since been corrected. We apologize for any confusion, and we hope to see you cheering our Lady Islanders to victory tomorrow night!

Back-to-School Night scheduled for tomorrow, September 10 is cancelled due to a delay with the state inspector. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
School is STILL starting on schedule on Monday, September 14. All paperwork, forms, and free school supplies (backpacks, notebooks, etc.) will be sent home with students on Monday, so families will receive everything they need.
We appreciate your patience as we prepare the building. Questions? Call/text 906-430-8191. We look forward to seeing everyone Monday!

What a beautiful weekend...we hope you all enjoyed it!
Here is our practice, game, and meet schedule for this upcoming week. We are now moving our practices to the afternoon with DeTour starting classes on Tuesday. We are also adding a JVFB scrimmage with Engadine on Tuesday in DeTour. JVFB parents, please contact Coach Tassier with any questions.
You will also notice that beginning this year, all home games, whether in Cedarville or in DeTour, will have transportation TO the school provided; but parents are asked to transport their child home or make arrangements for their ride home. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
As always, should anything with our schedule change, we'll notify you as soon as possible.

Good evening...this is a quick reminder that tomorrow, August 18, JV and Varsity Athletics pictures for the fall season will be taken in DeTour starting around 8:00AM in the gym foyer. Attached is an order form to fill out prior, or one can be filled out upon arrival. Payment can be either cash, check (made out to 2BU Photography) or Venmo. All JV and Varsity athletes must have a picture taken regardless of purchase. Thank you!

Good evening...while we look forward to seeing all our high school athletes tomorrow, we want to remind everyone that due to construction at the school in Cedarville, we are going to use the elementary school lot on Hilltop Drive for all drop off and pick ups. We also ask that anyone driving themselves to practice use that lot for parking as well. Thank you...have a great evening!
