Les Cheneaux Community Schools will be closed on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 under recommendation of the Mackinac County Sheriff's Office. This is due to the ongoing ice issues, and the potential for future power outages.
School will resume on Wednesday, April 2nd.

As we approach the business of our springs sports seasons, we want to make sure everyone is on the same page regarding transportation.
All of our high school , as well as our middle school track and golf, teams will have transportation provided to and from practices and games or meets.
Becasue Middle School Baseball and Softball are still club-level sports, school transportation will NOT be provided unless a run is already scheduled for another group. Please refer to our Middle School Baseball and Softbal coaches, or ADs Galarowic or Miller for further clarification. Thank you...have a great weekend!
Please remind your high school baseball or softball player to get their team sweatshirt money turned in no later than Monday. Players should have received "invoices" from their coaches on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thank you.

Calling all High School Baseball and Softball players...practices start Tuesday!
Take a look at practice locations and times for the next two weeks. We know that the times for March 17-19 are off from what our ferry schedule is...and we are working on making sure that no one has any unnecessary wait times.
Because of the large number of players and a small indoor space, Coach Lohff will have TWO baseball practice sessions this upcoming week...one in Cedarville and one in DeTour. The boys can stay in the respective schools for their practice. Contact Mr. Lohff with any questions.
As for softball, all the girls will practice together in Cedarville this upcoming week and DeTour the following week.
All ball players, please have your glove and a good pair of running shoes.
As any changes take place, we'll let you know as soon as possible.

Due to current road conditions, LCCS will be on a 2 hour delay. School will start at 10:00 this morning. No breakfast will be served. Buses will pick up your child approximately two hours later than normal. Students will enter through the same doors as they normally do to enter the building in the morning. Thank you.
Good morning, Here are updated practice and game schedules for our elementary girl's basketball season. Please note that there have been a few changes to our game dates and opponents. If you have any questions, please contact your daughters coach or the athletic director. Thank you
For those making their spring plans, here are the 2025 Baseball/Softball, Track and Golf schedules.
Please take note of a couple things:
First, all of these scheduules are tentative and are subject to, and likley to, change as Mother Nature changes. We will make updates as these changes take place.
Second, a Middle School Baseball and Softball schedule is still in the works and will be shared as soon as we have something more concrete.
Finally, notice that track and golf practices will not start until after the Spring Break week; but High School Baseball and Softball canl start the week of March 10 (indoors, of course). We will post that schedule as soon as it is determined.

Here is our practice and game schedule for the upcoming week. Our Lady Islanders will be busy preparing for their District Semi-Final matchup with Pickford on Wednesday. A separate post with specific information will be shared later today.
You'll also notice that next week, depending on how our girls do, indoor baseball and softball practices will be getting started. More information will be announced as logistics are worked out.

DeTour has canceled skiing for tomorrow due to the district competition being rescheduled, so there will be no bus for Cedarville riders. We're still waiting on our numbers before making a final decision on cancellations. Stay tuned!
