Good morning, Islanders! Here is the outlook for this week's Islanders practices and games. First, congratulations to our MS Volleyball teams for a terrific season full of lots of great volleyball and huge improvements! We can't wait to see what you'll do now on the basketball court...practices start tomorrow! Next, you'll see that the JV Football game on Wednesday against Superior Central has been cancelled due to injuries and low numbers. We will reassess if we are able to get in anymore JV games as the week progresses. JV Football boys are still, of course, expected to attend practices as part of the Varsity program. Lastly, you football families will see that we are still scheduled to make the trip to Elcho, Wisconsin, for a game on the 12th. We are working to reserve a charter bus for our boys to get to and from Wisconsin. As more information becomes available, we'll pass it along.

Flag Football parents...change of game schedule! The game previously scheduled for Monday, September 30th in Newberry has been changed to Tuesday, October 1st at HOME, players on the field by 5:30 for a 6:00 start! Practice Monday 9/30 at 4:45 🖤🏈

We have another busy week in store for our Islanders...please check the practice and game times for your kiddos. Unfortunately, you will notice that we were unable to lock in a high school football game for this Friday after our opponent canceled. If you have any questions, please ask. Hello, Islanders! We're kicking off a new school year with a very busy week for Islanders Athletics! Please look closely at the times and locations for practices and games below. DeTour staff is working diligently to get their main gym emptied of classroom contents so we can start hosting practices and games there in the very near future. But because of renovations, practice times in Cedarville had to be creative. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we continue to have indoor sports practices in Cedarville. We've had another great week of Islanders athletics, and now it's time to get our Middle School athletes rolling! Below is next week's schedule...all Middle and High school teams have practices and/or games going on. A few reminders to our Middle School athletes....please make sure that you have either turned your physical card into to your central office, or you bring it to your coach on Monday. Without a physical card, we cannot allow you to participate in any way at practice. Next, there will be a bus taking all MS Volleyball and Football players to Cedarville on their scheduled practice days. Parents, please make arrangements to pick your child up at either The Albany, the ferry boat dock in DeTour, or the ferry dock on Drummond Island. Finally, in regards to the Cross Country meet in Pickford on Tuesday...because it will be only your second day, it is optional for MS runners. Your coach will talk to you more about that on Monday. On Monday, August 19, the JV and Varsity Volleyball and Football teams, as well as Cross Country team will have their individual pictures taken. Please make sure your child bring his or her uniform to practice with them on Monday. Order forms will come home tomorrow, Wednesday 14.

We have an addition to make to the 2024 Football schedule...our JV team is hosting St. Ignace on Thursday, September 26. Game time is 6:00 and will be played in DeTour.
