Good morning, Islanders! Our winter season is officially underway with our Girls and Boys Bball teams..and here is the schedule for this week. Tuesday is our day for individual pictures for all JV and Varsity basketball players. Please make sure to have your athlete's picture form filled out and money sent in on Tuesday. Forms were sent home last week and you can also find the form here on our page. Also, athletes need to wear their BLACK uniforms for pictures. We'll remind them on Monday when they receive their uniforms. With our gym floors getting their annual refinishing, we needed to get creative with our practice times and locations. So, on Wednesday, you'll see that all of our teams are making the annual trip to LSSU for practice from 1-3. Typically,the teams stop for a quick bite to eat before returning home; so please keep in contact with your son or daughter about their return time. Finally, the Islanders Athletic Program wants to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving with your friends and family!! Have a great rest of your weekend...GO ISLANDERS!!!

Coaches Wilson and Andrews will be hosting a MS Girls Basketball pizza party tomorrow, November 21, Cedarville school cafeteria at 4:00. Lee can take the Drummond and DeTour girls over at 3:30 and bring them back for the 5:40 ferry. If your daughter hasn't yet brought in her uniform and practice jersey, please have her bring it tomorrow. Thank you!

Good evening, Islanders! We have a quick reminder we need to share with you. Tomorrow night our 8th Grade Girls Basketball team will be playing in the championship game at JKL in the Soo instead of Rudyard as was previously planned. Game time is still 6:30. GO ISLANDERS!!!

Greetings, Islanders! Here is our upcoming week's practice and one-game schedule. Our 8th Grade Girls Basketball team is competing in the Conference Championship game against Brimley on Monday, 6:30 at JKL. Because of this, our practice times for Monday have been adjusted. Thank your for your cooperation. Also, on Tuesday, we have our Annual Fall Athletic Banquet for all JV and Varsity Cross Country, Volleyball and Football players. The banquet is in DeTour and starts with a light dinner at 5:30 and awards at 6:00. Practice times are also adjusted for this day... Good morning, This is a reminder that elementary boys basketball practice begins tomorrow! The 4th grade team will practice right after school until 4:40. The 5th and 6th grade teams will practice from 3:30-5:15. Please pick your child up after practice at the high school gym entrance. Thank you

Here is the moment many of you have been waiting for...the release of the 2024-2025 Islanders Basketball schedules. Please keep in mind that as the season progress, changes to the schedule are common and likely. We will notify you as soon as possible if and when they occur. In the meantime, GO ISLANDERS!!!

MSGBB practice tomorrow, November 5, will be in DeTour becasue of the Fall Band Concert in Cedarville. The bus will pick up the girls at 3:00 and will return at 6:00. Thank you.

Unfortunately, you'll see that our football season has come to a close. Thank you, Coaches Barr, Causley, Tassier, and Miller for a terrific and action-packed season. MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL SCHEDULE CHANGES!!! This Saturday, October 26, the games against Newberry will now be played IN CEDARVILLE so the hallway floor in DeTour can be finished. Game time is still 10:00. Also, the Monday, October 28, game is being RESCHEDULED for Wednesday, October 30, and will be played IN DETOUR. The 7th grade will play JKL at 5:30, and the 8th grade will play Brimley right after. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Have a great evening!

Happy Sunday, Islanders! With our fall season winding down, we have a lot of great things happening! First, congratulations to our MS and HS Cross Country teams on a successful season. Special shout out to Ethan Snyder who placed 4th in the D3 final yesterday in Munising...way to go, Ethan!!! Our MS Girls Basketball teams are rolling along and playing some great ball. The Islanders Volleyball teams are busy working hard to prepare the Varsity for the postseason; and the Islanders Football team is hitting peak form as they get ready to be the first Islanders football team to make the Playoffs!!! Below is our weekly schedule of practices and games. Please check out your child's schedule for the week. One noticable difference for our MSGBB parents is that this Saturday's game that WAS scheduled in DeTour is moved TO Cedarville so the finishing touches can be made to the hallway floors in DeTour. Please know that arrangements are being made to switch the Oct. 28 game to DeTour from Cedarville. More information will be posted as those changes are made. There will be a bus to take the 8th Grade Girls Bball team to Brimley tonight. The bus leaves DeTour at 4:30, and will pick up Cedarville at 5:00.

The Islanders 8th Grade Girls Basketball team will be traveling to Brimley tomorrow, October 16. Game time is approximately 6:30. We are working to get the team a bus. Stay tuned.
